As temperatures begin to drop, the need for warm clothing becomes especially urgent for many individuals and families in our community. This season, Adult Foster Care of the North Shore (AFCNS) is proud to lend a helping hand to Together Gloucester, Inc. in their effort to keep Gloucester residents warm throughout the winter.
Our Director of Operations, Deanna Benjamin, recently met with Kristin Michel of Together Gloucester, Inc. to collect coats and winter gear for several AFCNS members in need. Thanks to the generosity of donors and the continued partnership with Together Gloucester, Inc., this year's coat drive ensures that members will have access to warm, comfortable gear just in time for the coldest months.
Together Gloucester, Inc. is hosting its annual Operation Keep Gloucester Warm event on December 6th at Gloucester Trinity Church. During this event, community members can pick up free coats, jackets, hats, and winter essentials—no questions asked. Their dedication to supporting local families year after year is truly inspiring, and we are grateful for the impact they make.
A heartfelt thank-you to Kristin and the entire Together Gloucester, Inc. team for thinking of our AFCNS members again this year. Partnerships like these help strengthen our community and ensure that everyone has access to basic necessities that make winter a little bit easier.
At AFCNS, we believe in caring for the whole person—and that includes helping our members stay safe, warm, and supported. We’re honored to work alongside organizations that share the same commitment to compassion and community.
